My name is Karen Wiederhold and i'm a published freelance yarn and general craft designer living in Gloucestershire, UK.
I was born to my Scottish parents and raised in South Africa before moving to the UK in my 30's. My heritage is Scottish, Swedish and Finnish so in combination with living in England it makes for a diverse interest in styles to inspire my creations.
My interest in knitting and crocheting began at a very young age and being creative and crafting is a large part of what makes me who I am.
I live with my husband and have a constant flow of our adult children who move home or visit for different periods of time from their travels for work, university or from overseas.
I took a short design break for about two years to focus on studies, and returned in early 2020 with new ideas for projects and patterns for Weediflower Creations.
